Why MyCourtSlot exists
Many club sessions are organized by a volunteer, coach, or regular player rather than a full-time administrator. That person usually receives a changing list of names, a fixed number of courts, and several incompatible definitions of fairness. Whiteboards and spreadsheets work for simple nights, but they become tedious when four people must sit every round or ratings need to be balanced.
MyCourtSlot was built to shorten that planning step. It generates an editable doubles rotation in the browser, keeps the free tool available without requiring an account, and gives hosts a result they can print or share.

How the guides are produced
MyCourtSlot articles are written and maintained for the narrow problems the tool addresses. Each guide should answer a real operating question, provide a rule or worked example a host can use, state its limitations, and link to related material only when useful. Articles are reviewed against the current scheduler so they do not promise features that do not exist.
The site does not claim that one rotation policy works for every club. Advice is framed as a starting rule for recreational doubles sessions, and hosts are expected to account for local rules, accessibility, safeguarding, and player needs.
Corrections and feedback
If a guide contains an error, a feature behaves differently from its description, or a rotation creates a reproducible problem, contact [email protected]. Useful reports include player count, court count, slot length, ratings if used, and the exact outcome that looked wrong.
Transparency about limitations
The scheduler runs an algorithm, not a club night. It can compare counts and ratings; it cannot understand personalities, injuries, early departures, or every preference. Its methodology is published so hosts can decide whether the assumptions fit their group.
